The Threaderick Story...
Hi all... I'm Nicola, the face behind Threaderick
Threaderick was officially born in April 2014 through my love of creating and upcycling, colour and print, and Boho styles
I've always had a strong passion for patterns, fabrics and reworking clothing on my sewing machine and after finishing my studies in 2013, where I gained my BA(Hons) in Fashion Design here in Essex, I began to produce items for people outside of my immediate friends and family
The name 'Threaderick' is a play-on-words, using 'Thread' to represent the sewing element of items and 'Frederick'... a nod to a playful little squirrel (my favourite animal) that spent its days back then running from the oak tree and around the garden as I was busily sewing away indoors

Threaderick has developed and changed over the past 12 years, and will continue to grow and evolve
and while there hasn't been much time to spend on the sewing machine in recent years, there are plans, that may change in the future
Today, I mainly stock clothing and bags that are ethically sourced from India and Nepal through UK sources and direct from connections in India, with many sustainable items made from reworked sari fabrics and recycled fibres
I'm forever sourcing and updating Threadericks stock, and have too much here to list everything online, with many items being unique, one-off garments, but I'm very happy to chat through messages and emails if you're looking for something specific
I like to stock an inclusive range of sizes and styles, with the aim to provide something for everyone who loves the Boho look
I spend most weekends at various events in the South East of the UK including Suffolk, Kent, Sussex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Essex, where i'm based
I love to attend wellbeing, wellness and yoga retreats, spiritual MBS fairs and fairy, pagan and witchy events with the Threaderick stall, as well as pop-up markets and music festivals
I'm lucky to meet amazing people and form beautiful connections on my travels with Threaderick, and have lots of fun on the way...and I'm looking forward to another fab year ahead for 2026!
